Envelo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 15, 2026

Galeworks, LLC (“we,” “us”) operates the Envelo budgeting app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. We built Envelo for our own household first, and we treat your financial data the way we’d want ours treated.

Information we collect

How we use your information

AI features

When you use auto-categorization or the “ask your budget” chat, relevant transaction details (such as merchant names, amounts, and categories) are sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, to generate suggestions and answers. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, data sent through their API is not used to train their models. These features are optional — if you don’t use them, your data isn’t sent to Anthropic.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising. We share data only with the service providers that make the app work, and only as needed:

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Bank access tokens are encrypted at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit what we store.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and its associated data at any time from within the app, or by emailing us at rrfgale@gmail.com. When you disconnect a bank, we stop syncing it and remove its access token.

Children

Envelo is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA/UK), and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Your choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Email us at rrfgale@gmail.com and we’ll help.

Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app.
